Eating Disorder Recovery Group for Young Adults

Ages: 18-26 | Beginning July 5th, 2023

Wednesdays from 5pm-6:15pm

This group will meet weekly over the course of 10 weeks every (Wednesday from 5-6:15pm). The group is open to motivated individuals in the active stage of recovery including those who are currently in ED treatment or recently discharged from treatment. Sometimes recovery can be lonely and this will be a place to connect, support, and be supported by others who can relate. We would like to create a space that is safe and fosters connection, thus this will be a closed group of 6 or less individuals. The group will explore coping skills, psycho-education, diet culture, media literacy, body image, empowerment, and more. This group is facilitated by Lauren Barker, LMFT, who specializes in ED populations and leads from an anti-diet, HAES® aligned approach.

The investment for the group is $600 ($60/session) + a mandatory intake assessment (covered by BCBS or self-pay at a reduced rate).  Those interested may contact Lauren directly at Lauren@PrismWellnessNC.com to set up the assessment or if you have any questions.
